It all started more than 70 years ago with one cook, the brand’s founder Colonel Harland Sanders, who created a soon-to-be world-famous recipe, based on the list of secret herbs and spices scratched out on the back of the door to his kitchen. AmRest has been operating KFC across Europe now for 27 years and we still have cooks in each and everyone of our restaurants. 

Even if we ‘do it the hard way’ in the kitchen – hand breading our juicy fried chicken, sourcing ingredients locally and making to order – we continue to innovate across the brand. Whether this is pioneering the Open Kitchen restaurant design in KFC or investing in the development and growth of our team members, we do it with pride. We constantly invest in new technologies to make it easier for our millions of guests to order their favorite food and either pick up their meal at our restaurants, through the Drive Thru, with curbside delivery or have it arrive piping-hot to their door.
