RB 18/2010 Sales revenues in the first quarter 2010

The Management Board of AmRest Holdings SE (“AmRest”) informs that the preliminary sales revenues generated by the AmRest Group in the first quarter of 2010 amounted to PLN 481.2 million, which is a 7.7% decrease compared with the corresponding period of 2009. In the first quarter of 2009 the sales revenues reached PLN 521.7 million.

The biggest factor impacting sales results for the quarter was the relative strengthening of the Polish currency, especially versus the US dollar. The sales revenues generated by the AmRest Group was flat (0.0%) excluding currency effect, compared to -7.7% when translated into PLN.  In US business sales dynamic in Q1 2010 was -3.9% in USD, compared to -19.5% when translated into PLN. In Europe Q1 2010 sales dynamic was 2.4% excluding currency effect and 0.8% when translated into PLN.

AmRest results include sales generated by restaurants in Europe (PLN 304.4 million) and in US (PLN 176.8 million).
